We’re building Kadan with the belief that the best investors earn founders’ trust and never stop learning.

Felix co-leads investments at Kadan Capital. He was previously an Investment Manager at Antler (a global early-stage VC firm), a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, and a public equity investor. Felix holds degrees from INSEAD and HEC Paris.

Rei Murakami

Founding partner

Rei co-leads investments & portfolio support at Kadan Capital. She serves as President of The Murakami Family Foundation and as Advisor to Elevandi Japan. Rei previously worked at Mitsubishi Corporation and holds degrees from INSEAD and Keio University.

David Hwan

Principal

David supports investments and portfolio management. He previously co-founded Kwara, raising $10M from global investors such as SoftBank and achieving profitability. David began his career in M&A at PwC. He holds degrees from the University of Amsterdam.

Jachin Cheng

Venture Partner

Jachin advises on investments and provides founder support, specializing in applied AI and ML. Currently a PM Director at Coupang, he brings 16 years of experience at Google across the US, Europe and Asia. He is an active angel investor and holds degrees from UCLA and the University of Texas at Austin.

Sophie Meralli

Venture Partner

Sophie is a seasoned VC investor experienced with early-stage and growth companies in the U.S. and Japan. She previously worked with Innospark Ventures and Eight Roads Ventures Japan, and brings deep expertise in supporting global founders expanding into Japan. She holds degrees from MIT Sloan and the London School of Economics.
