Rei Murakami is a Founding Partner at Kadan, where she co-leads investments and portfolio support. Having invested across multiple asset classes, she works closely with founders to structure fundraising strategies and leverages a strong network across Asia to introduce portfolio companies to high-calibre capital and business partners.

Rei believes venture is one of the few true non-zero-sum games and is deeply passionate about supporting those who take risk to create lasting value.

Previously, Rei worked in commodities trading at Mitsubishi Corporation, an experience that shaped her disciplined, market driven approach to risk and capital allocation.

Outside of her role at Kadan, she runs multiple political, founder, and investor communities, founded an accelerator program for women politicians in Japan as President of the Murakami Family Foundation, and advises GFTN Japan. She holds a BA in Law and Politics from Keio University and an MBA from INSEAD.
